Made from the whole milk of water buffalos in Campania, Italy, Castelli Mozzarella di Bufala Campana is a protected or DOP cheese with its origin dating back to the arrival of the water buffalo in southern Italy around the time of Christ. Packaged in its original whey to keep it fresh and air shipped to the States, Mozzarella di Bufala has a lighter texture than regular Mozzarella and is much more flavorful. Perfect with tomatoes, basil and olive oil or with any pasta dish.
